GEO: Visibility in AI Search

Your customers no longer just search Google; they ask AI. We make sure your brand appears in those answers with accurate information and as a cited source.

What it is

GEO (generative engine optimisation) is the work of getting your site and brand cited as a source in answers from systems such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google’s AI Overviews. To answer a question these systems search the web, pick sources they trust and quote them. We check that your site is open to their crawlers, make your content easy to quote, keep the information about your brand consistent everywhere, and measure the results regularly. GEO does not replace SEO; it builds on a solid SEO foundation.

What we cover

02
01

Access for AI crawlers

Checking that robots.txt, firewall and CDN settings do not block crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot by mistake.

02

Quotable content

Paragraphs that answer the question in the first sentence, with clear headings, and make sense on their own.

03

Structured data

Schema.org markup for your organisation, services, products, articles and FAQs.

04

Consistent brand information

The same company name, services and contact details on your site, LinkedIn and directories.

05

Files for AI

llms.txt, Markdown versions of pages and machine-readable sitemaps.

06

Measurement

Tracking whether your brand appears in answers to a set of questions, and the traffic AI tools send you.

How we work

  1. 01

    Baseline

We list the questions your customers are likely to ask and record which answers mention your brand today.

  2. 02

    Technical access

Crawler access, indexing and structured data are checked and fixed.

  3. 03

    Content and structure

Service, product and blog pages are made quotable, and missing topics go into a content plan.

  4. 04

    Brand signals

Information about your brand outside your site (LinkedIn, directories, industry sites) is made consistent.

  5. 05

    Tracking

The same questions are measured again at regular intervals and the results reported.

What you get

  • A baseline report: your brand’s visibility for the chosen questions
  • Technical findings and the fixes applied (crawler access, structured data, llms.txt)
  • Content recommendations per page, or rewritten copy
  • Regular measurement reports and next steps

When you need it

  • If your customers use AI tools when looking for services or suppliers
  • If ChatGPT or Gemini gives incomplete or wrong information about your brand
  • If you rank well on Google but competitors appear in the AI answers
  • When you are building a new site or redesigning your current one

Frequently Asked

SEO is about where your site ranks in search results. GEO is about AI systems choosing your site as a source when they build an answer. Since AI systems often draw on search indexes, a good SEO foundation is also a precondition for GEO.

No. AI answers change with the wording of the question, the user and time; nobody can guarantee a place in a particular answer. We fix the technical and content conditions that affect visibility, and measure and report the results with the same questions over time.

It is not required. Google has said it does not use llms.txt in Search, while some AI tools and agents do read it. It is easy to add, so we recommend it, but the real impact comes from crawler access, content structure and consistent brand information.

Yes. On twinlikee.com we use a robots.txt open to AI crawlers, llms.txt, Markdown versions of our blog posts and Schema.org markup.
